So this might be the most exciting video you may see, however to determine this you might have to say to yourself, How many completely stock Datsun 1600 cars have you seen do on a dyno.

This Australian 4 door sedan was built in 1970.
Has the standard L16 engine fuelled by a Hitachi Carburetter.
On the plate in the engine bay it states 96 horsepower at the flywheel.
All the maths guys out there might be able to convert and work out drivetrain loss etc and see if this figure is on par.
There are no engine modifications at all.
Power is sent through to a 3 speed Borg warner automatic transmission and on to the IRS rear differential at a 3.7 to 1 ratio.

This fun day was put on by the Sydney Datsun Club and Hosted at Waterhouse Performance in Penrith.
Squinters Brewing next door helped cool us off with a refreshing ale and Burger and Chips from Beefys burgers on site too.
