The India Gate in Delhi, India is a war memorial to over 70,000 soldiers in the British Indian Army who lost their lives during WWI and the third Anglo-Afghan War. It was inaugurated in 1931 and features the names of over 13,000 soldiers. The architecture is reminiscent of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. There is also a monument called the Amar Jawan Jyoti which is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of India. The India Gate is quite immense and imposing and is definitely worth a visit when in Delhi.
