We explore the Basketball Beauties League, a revolutionary and attractive avenue for women's basketball, after a year of no games due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jude Thomas is a former streetball legend by the name of "Hollywizzle" and he has seen basketball evolve -- for men but not for women. He decided to step up to the plate and create The Basketball Beauties League which is more than just another basketball league. The BBL is a platform for women from different walks of life to educate and assist others through their selected fields. Ironically, there's one thing that ties them all together -- they all played basketball in college and/or professionally. At the time of filming, the league is entering its 5th year and this is happening after the world shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Basketball found success with the NBA entering the bubble but for people not in the NBA, the same resources weren't provided and thus this kept a lot of leagues down for the count. The league returning means a lot for the sport but more for so many women who didn't have an outlet. This film will be more focused around what makes the league special rather than the pandemic.
