Opaleye Fish Fry?!?! - Spearfishing Catch & Cook

Have you ever tried Opaleye before? Try this super simple fish fry method, and enjoy a tasty treat.

Swells were pretty light, with surf being about a foot, and visibility around 12ish feet. Overall a fun day out on the water. Plenty of sea life on this day but not the White Sea Bas or Yellowtail we were hoping for. We saw plenty of Calico bass out where the kelp got a bit thinner, and massive schools of Opaleye. It felt good to bring home some fish to eat again, even if it is just Opaleye. Both shots on the Opaleye I caught were a pretty fair distance away, so it does bring me some confidence for when I need to make that crucial shot on that White Sea Bass.
