passat b6 2 0 tdi airbag warning light fix

two important steps as to be made during this fix;
first step is to disconnect the battery before you start working with airbags.

and second step is once you complete the fix , reconnect the battery and if you get abs warnings don't panic.
as soon you drive the car the warning lights will switch off.

i will suggest this fix only if the problem is only course , (like in my case ) just by one wire.
if the connector is all bad then i suggest to bypass the plug and connect the wires by following other suggested video on youtube.


tools needed for the fix …..

multimeter or continuity tester
long thin flat screwdriver
electric tape
metal pins (push the pin into the connector were is the wire to be tested) if is not continuity push the pin further in ,until you get continuity.
obd2 scanner (vw audi ) able to reset airbag codes.

before the fix the obd2 had stored 2 faults.
01217 side airbag igniter driver side (N 199)
01218 side airbag igniter passenger side (N200)
