Stackhaus made a name for themselves before they even hit the stage, with their presence at local shows. Once given the opportunity to perform, they would show spectators that they could bring that same energy on-stage and put on a real show.

Max Hughey on vocals and Ben Hughey on guitar share the stage alongside lifelong friend Mike Waring on bass, who brought in the final member and friend, Jake Lotz on drums.

Playing in some form of band throughout highschool, Ben, Max, and Mike would begin their musical journeys.

Ben quickly became known through the halls as a notable guitar player in the school, as well as being known for his affinity for Led Zeppelin.

*Led Zeppelin played a part in Ben and Max’s lives, as their dad played guitar in a Led Zeppelin tribute band in the early 90’s.

Ben joined the Marine Corps in 2010, and during that time the idea for what would become Stackhaus was born. In fact, many songs from the first album were written while Ben was still in the Marines.

Ben finished his time in the Marine Corps and immediately went to work assembling a band.

Max first interacted with music as a drummer. He would later become the lead singer of Stackhaus after filling the position seemed hopeless, and once trying Max as the singer, it was obvious what spot he should be in the band.

Mike Waring would participate in musical projects with Ben and Max in the same timeline as their friendship that began in early middle school. With a natural ear for music and rhythm, Mike provides the foundational low end that every band needs.

Drummer Jake Lotz filled in the slot after the first two drummers temporary positions were no longer viable. Working with Mike at the time, Jake came in and instantly showed that he understood the vision. Jake also brought a unique and recognizable style that gives the music personality, while remaining solid and relatable to the listener.

A Stackhaus show is a show that has been put together with a lot of effort from the members, and features energy, performance, and improvisation. An unforgettable experience.
