Black Beauty Dallasite: Vancouver Island

Truly an exciting and unforgettable rockhounding experience on Vancouver Island! Dallasite is We are truly excited about this new material and love the way it polishes up! We hope to find more of this material on the island, fingers crossed, because it truly is our favorite variety of Dallasite.
Dallasite is considered the 3rd most important gem of British Columbia, and we STRONGLY AGREE!!

We hope to find out what the black material is; we have a club meeting coming up so we will see if it's chert or black limestone?... or who knows what we will find out! Luckily we have geologist friends that help us learn along the way!!
