Vickie Baker grew up in a musical family in Shreveport Louisiana. She received a BA Degree in Music from Mississippi Valley State University and a Master's in Music from the University of Mississippi. Vickie has graced the stage with numerous artists such as : B.B
King, The Four Tops, The Manhattans, Al Green, Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, Ray Goodman and Brown, The Delfonics, Mr. Lee Kirksy, Johnny Taylor, Ko Ko Taylor, Bobby Blue Bland, Denise LaSalle, Betty Wright, Bobby Rush, Millie Jackson, Jay Blackfoot, Rue Davis and Tyrone Davis.
In the early 90's she began singing background for Ernie Johnson and Willie
Clayton.

VIcKle travels with a seven piece band performing on several major festivals including The Chicago Blues Fest, The Delta Blues Fest, The Jackson Rhythm and Blues Fest, The Sunflower Gospel and Blues Fest, The Vickie Baker North Caddo Homecoming Fest and the B.B King Homecoming Blues Festival.
Vickie is a recipient of the 2020 ZBT
Women Trailblazers Award and a 2020
Mississippi Jazz Foundation Honoree.
Mississippi Spotlight Artist of the year 2021.
For 30 years she worked as the Band and Choral Director at Vicksburg
Catholic School. She is currently a Band Director at Vicksburg High School.
Vickie is also a member of Tau Beta Sigma Honorary Band Sorority and Delta
Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
