Alistair Build Guide (Dragon Age: Origins) - B-Tier Guides

Happy new year! I began this channel at the very end of 2023, so this year I'm hoping to post a lot more videos about Dragon Age, and maybe even a few about other games and hobbies of mine. (Though I do expect it to be mainly Dragon Age since we're getting a full Dreadwolf reveal in summer, and a possible release at the end of the year? Fingers crossed.)

I thought I'd make some build guides for all the companions other than the secret companion (since you get them very late and there's not much you can do unless you use a respecialization mod). There are a decent number of build guides for DAO online, but I find them overwhelming sometimes because they're so focused on squeezing every single bit of value out of every choice. Plus, I was never able to figure out who should get those highly contested items like the Spellward, Key to the City, Helm of Honnleath, and such. Basically every build recommends those as best in slot, but you have a party of 4 characters - who gets these best in slot items then?

I'm starting off with Alistair since he's the first companion you get. He's a great companion to use for beginners or B-tier gamers (like me!), since he's already well balanced when you get him. You just have to continue what's already there.
