Stumpwork Tulips: The Art of 3D Embroidery

Two beautiful open Tulip flowers made with simple stumpwork finish off this page of the Stitch Journal. Each un-wired petal is stitched separately in the hoop and then cut out. The petals are then stitched together on top of the leaves to turn this vase into a truly pretty scene.
Only 3 stitches are used...blanket stitch, straight stitch and French knots.
