Описание к видео FDNY Communications --- Brooklyn Central Office circa Aug 5, 1989

Brooklyn Central Office, FDNY, circa Saturday, Aug 5, 1989. On manual operations (paper & pencil) until computer came back online that day, which is also shown. Gene Naylor was the tour supervisor; includes Mike "Espo" (Dispatcher 210 at the time), who shot most of the video and also appears at the "Decision Dispatcher" position near the end of the video hilariously screaming "cut, cut !!!", along with several other dispatchers. Note: Unedited video. Some persons may be offended due to occasional salty firehouse language. Video was lost for nearly 35 years. At the end of the video, the NYCTA shuttle line is seen behind the Central Office and was the site of the NYCTA's worst accident many years prior, in 1918. In the building's basement, under the main operations area pictured in this video, was the "haunted" men's locker room (not shown in this video), also known as "The Washington Ballroom", where apparitions from the train wreck have occasionally been seen whiling away the late night hours, so yes, the place is haunted!
