From November 26-28, 2024, the fourth edition of the IMMERSIVE X, probably the world's most ambitious metaverse conference, took place -- exclusively in the metaverse, spread across various platforms which ranged from the wild worlds of ‪@VRChat‬ to the collaboration-optimized Raum and Engage platforms. The XRLab@MCM is a proud collaborator of Berlin-based ‪@vmpeople‬, the conference's organizer.

In this video, XRLab@MCM's academic director Thorsten Hennig-Thurau alias "ProfTHT" shares his personal conference highlights -- which feature a broad variety of serious topics, such as meeting the students of Africa VR Campus in Kenya, learning how art can help to fight the Russian invasion, as well as business applications by Lufthansa. But they also show that the metaverse offers plenty of room for imagination...
