After receiving more calls than usual for the JM series Hyundai Tucson the VACC's Technical Department started investigating. Technicians may come across symptoms of the AC compressor not operating. The AC Compressor can be manually activated by either a bi-directional command on the diagnostic tool or by grounding the control side of the relay.

A common reason for this situation is a failure of the evaporator temperature sensor or thermistor. You should run check all other alternatives before committing to replacement as you will have to remove the dashboard to access the HVAC unit.
