Pilgrim George speaks at the annual Eparchy of Parma pilgrimage at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mariapoch in Burton, Ohio, August 17, 2014. In this talk, Pilgrim George takes the examples of Bartimaeus--blind, Zacchaeus--up a tree, and Lazarus--dead in the tomb, to show us that we are all spiritually lost and in need of God.

For the past 43 years Pilgrim George has spent four months each year walking on pilgrimage around the world (43 countries, 41,000 miles) in faith (without money) lifting up the Cross of Jesus. The other eight months of each year he lives as a poustinik, spending four days a week in prayer and offering his time and service to the local Christian Community the other three days of the week.
