The Battle of Rezang La (18 November 1962) is remembered as one of the greatest last stands in military history. Fought during the Sino-Indian War of 1962, this legendary battle took place at an altitude of 18,000 feet in the icy mountains of Ladakh.
✅ Outnumbered 1:20, the brave soldiers of 13 Kumaon Regiment’s Charlie Company, led by Major Shaitan Singh (Param Vir Chakra), defended India against repeated Chinese assaults. Despite extreme cold, lack of proper winter clothing, and limited ammunition, 120 Indian soldiers fought to the last man, last round – displaying unmatched courage, patriotism, and sacrifice.
