Kylie Minogue's Studio Vocal Range (C♯3 - A5 - F6)

Описание к видео Kylie Minogue's Studio Vocal Range (C♯3 - A5 - F6)

Well, I didn't expect this video to be THAT long! It was about 23 minute-long before, so I have to shorten it.

So, this is the studio vocal range for Kylie Minogue, a well-known singer, but not for her vocal. People has always underestimate Kylie's vocal ability. But I believe she's more than just a basic pop singers. This video is a proof of my point.

Vocal Type: Light-Lyric Soprano
Demonstrated Vocal Range: C♯3 - A5 - F6 (3 Octaves & 2 Notes)

Lower Register: C♯3 - A3
[Her low is subpar, but not really bad for a soprano. She manages to sound solid down to E3, which is great. Below E3, it could have been better, but those were the only notes she showcased in studio.]

Mixed Register: A4 - A5
[Nasality is her biggest issue in the area, her vibrato can worsen the situation too. But when the nasality isn't there, she sounds very good. She even mixed and sustained up to A5 (for 3 seconds).]

Head Voice/Falsetto: E5 - F6
[This area is the reason why I believe Kylie is not an basic singer. To have that developed head voice, it requires serious training, not just some basic vocal lessons. (Eg. B5 in Your Disco Needs You). Though she still sounds better in live performance.]

Maybe people shouldn't only listen to her hits like "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" and go to conclusion that Kylie can't sing. If you look further in her discography (through this video for example), you can see that she is a good singer.
