Garcia was ejected after hitting Josh Donaldson with a pitch (which itself followed Giancarlo Stanton's 3-run home run), and crew conference outcome that ruled the HBP an intentional act. Walker was ejected arguing the call to eject Garcia. Montoyo was ejected half an inning later when Yankees pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga threw a pitch inside and high to Blue Jays batter Bo Bichette and no ejection for intentionally throwing at a batter occurred (warnings are automatically put into place any time a pitcher is ejected for an intentional pitch at the batter).
