In this latest Workshop Ketchup, Iain takes us through a varied week of classic car restoration, with updates on three very different but equally fascinating machines.

First up is the Lamborghini Islero, which is steadily being transformed thanks to Craig’s painstaking work on the interior. The original Connolly leather trim had seen better days, but Craig walks us through the process of recreating it to factory specification – including the small but significant details that ensure authenticity. From stitch patterns to hide selection, it’s a revealing insight into the craftsmanship required to bring such an interior back to its former glory.

Next, attention turns to the Bentley S2 / S3, a car originally delivered as an S2 but upgraded to S3 specification by the factory in period. This week marks a milestone as the engine is finally in place. It’s a satisfying sight: freshly rebuilt, correctly detailed, and looking as it would have when it left Crewe – even if the rest of the car is still awaiting its turn. Iain talks us through the work that’s been done so far, and what’s still to come on this elegant British saloon.

Finally, there's an update on the Lamborghini 400 and the ongoing engine rebuild. Iain gives us a closer look at some of the key components as the V12 comes apart, offering a glimpse of the engineering behind one of Lamborghini’s earliest grand tourers. It’s another reminder of the care needed when breathing new life into these complex and often misunderstood engines.
