Goods In #17 - Marantz PM6006 UK Edition Unboxing & Overview

Unboxing and brief overview of the Marantz PM6006 UK Edition released in October 2017.

I've had all my hi-fi equipment for over 10 years so 2018 is seeing some new kit coming in. My current amp (Marantz PM7001) doesn't even have any digital inputs. That was my main reason for buying a new amp. I wanted direct co-axial and optical connectivity into the back of the amp. No external DAC, no messing around. Welcome to 1983! :-)

The Marantz PM6006 UK Edition is basically the same as the PM6006 except for a few tweaks here and there, slightly better shielding to protect the amp from digital interference and a crappy UK style logo on the front.

It sounds great though and has massively simplified my cabling.

The onboard DAC is the well known CS4398 chip with support up to 192kHz 24bit.
