Today I'll be going over what I consider the best Nurgle Daemon units after the latest Q3 2024 Dataslate, along with touching on a few of the (many) combos you can use to get the most out of these guys. Whether playing mono god or mixed, competitive tournaments or casual garagehammer, Nurgle & Chaos Daemons in general should have something for everyone

For most of Warhammer 40k history, Nurgle Daemons have always fallen behind when it comes to competitive play. Luckily 10th edition has flipped this on it's head & along with Khorne, you see Nurgle is the majority of tournament army lists. Whether its the humble Plaguebearers for holding down objectives or a Great Unclean One to cause mayhem in No Man's Land, Nurgle has become one of the better options to bring along into Pariah Nexus.

While we're somewhat lacking in the number of attacks, our damage & especially our resiliency is top tier & definitely helps play into their strengths. Combined with some of the other gods this becomes very powerful & can help you get the edge whether for the competitive level or casual play

Even going full-on mono god you should still be able to win a tournament, something that wasn't very common to say in the past! Time will tell what route most Daemon players end up going but I'm expecting to see at least a few Nurgle models in most lists going forward.

I fully expect them to get EVEN BETTER once the Chaos Daemons 10th Edition Codex drops
