The Apple TV 4K 2022 excels at streaming video with the speed of the A15 Bionic chip and the addition of HDR-10+ support. Perhaps the best streaming device out there for video playback today. As with the Gen2, Apple TV 4K, the Gen3 missing the mark with the music streaming experience and falls further behind as the competition (Roku, NVidia Shield and Amazon Fire TV) are all able to support hi-resolution audio up to 24 bit / 192 kHz. We search for work-arounds for this disappointing omission of a feature we thought would have been addressed in the Gen2 Apple TV 4k 2021 by now.
