I researched Will Rogers, got permission to use these archival images, and created this short video which accompanied a longer piece called Will Rogers and the Anti-Bunk Party by Rogers impersonator, Cy Eberhart. I thought many viewers needed a context to understand and appreciate Eberhardt's art so I created this, especially for a new audience entirely unfamiliar with Rogers, who was not only an iconic American satarist and comedian but an accomplished rope trick artist, pioneer in film, actor, inventor, and writer who has made a lasting impression on the American literary landscape.
