REPOTTING LUCKY BAMBOO In Soil: A Step By Step Guide

Welcome! Lucky Bamboo is typically seen growing in water, but did you know it grows in soil? Here I show you the complete process of repotting Lucky Bamboo (aka Dracaena Sanderiana, Ribbon Plant), plus how I divided it into 2 plants.

Time of year the repotting was done: late summer.
Soil mix: 1/2 potting soil, 1/2 succulent & cactus mix (I make my own - here's the recipe:    • MAKE YOUR OWN INDOOR/OUTDOOR SUCCULEN...  )

The reason I divided it: This little plant came with 5 canes. 1 of them died. I discovered that the number 4 in Chinese culture is considered unlucky. The number 2 signifies balance & good things come in pairs. Much better to have in your home!

Care after repotting Lucky Bamboo: Water the plant thoroughly, & put it in bright indirect sunlight. Water again when 1/2 to 3/4 of the way dry. This plant doesn't like wet soil, nor does it like to go dry.
