Since last season in 2023, the buck David would later named The Drop 12 has been on our radar. After discovering that the monster buck had made it through the 2023 season, sightings of The Drop 12 during the 2024 summer became frequent. As the 2024 Iowa deer season began, David went into the season looking to harvest a mature buck. After filling numerous doe tags to kick off the season, the buck movement came to a screeching halt in mid October. As the season progressed, The Drop 12's movements were scarce. However, on November 16th, the rut action picked up and David would get a hunt of a lifetime.
