Winter Bird Photography at a Wildlife Refuge

Today I traveled out to a new location, a local wildlife refuge that is located along the Connecticut River. I was excited to explore a new area that has had a lot of bird activity according to my research. I looked on eBird to find a location that had many sightings and this location fit the bill. The location was beautiful flood plain forest with a mixture of marsh and woodlands. It will definitely be a spot I go back to many times. Today I planned to focus on bird photography, but I was happy to have found three white tailed deer while I was out as well.
