Foxwell 624 Elite All System Scan Tool Part 1: Unboxing And Initial Impressions.

As part of some ongoing upgrades to the shop part of Farpoint, it's time to replace some aging scan tools. First to go was the Craftsman scan tool that I've been using since 2008. I replaced it with the Ancel 530 and Have been very happy with it.

Next, it's time to look at replacing my great, but old Genesys. I love that tool, but its now almost 20 years old, a lifetime in the automotive industry. I've decided that while I wait to figure out what I will get as a full replacement, That I would purchase an intermediate level tool. Something that can't do all the bi-directional stuff a full fledged scan tool can, but one that can do a full system scan as well as doing oil resets, EPS activations and other essential functions.
After reading reviews on Amazon, I decided on this unit from Foxwell. It's updatable for free, has the features I want, and has good reviews.
So far I'm happy with the purchase, and I will be posting an update or two on it as time passes.
