With support from thousands of community partners, volunteers, donors and other supporters, the American Red Cross Home Fire Campaign has achieved its goal of installing 2.5 million free smoke alarms and making 1 million households safer across the country.

We are grateful for everyone’s contributions to the campaign, which has helped save more than 1,500 lives since launching in October 2014. Because it has made a lifesaving difference in the face of the nation’s most frequent disaster, the Red Cross will continue the program with community partners as part of our standard services.
