WILD RAINY Camping on the Side of a Mountain - Crazy Weather!

I love the sound of rain on a tent and this trip did not disappoint. I hiked in the rain, up into the clouds, to camp on the side of a mountain in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. The heavy rain had eased by the time I set up camp and I was able to enjoy the pleasure of sitting under the tarp, reading, drinking hot chocolate, and listening to the light rain pitter pattering above me. Even though it was relaxing it was peppered with adventurous challenges, a cave to have lunch in, an endangered bird pecking at my tent, and a beautiful waterfall to explore.
I love sharing the beauty of the outdoors with others and I hope you enjoy the scenery and experience of wild camping with me.
Indi was not allowed in to this National Park but will be back with me on another adventure soon.
