Carla Kaufman Sloan is an Emmy winning writer and television producer with three decades of experience in creating, writing, and developing TV shows.

The mother of two sons, Carla co-established Caleb and Calder Sloan’s Awesome Foundation (ccawesomefoundation.org) with her husband, Chris, after the tragic death of their seven year old. The accident occurred in their home swimming pool due to faulty high-voltage lighting.

Reeling in shock and grief, they turned their focus to helping other children in need, prioritizing kids who have suffered the loss of a parent or sibling. The foundation has grown significantly since 2015 to serve hundreds of thousands of people through a Legacy fund for children to attend Experience Camps, a week long summer program for children suffering grief, massive hurricane relief campaigns, providing school supplies for kids all over America and personal aid to parents who have suffered the loss of a child.

Most recently Carla finished writing a book about grief and her new found belief in continued consciousness and experiences with the other side. Carla is now a medium who can be contacted on VerySoul.com and she proudly co-hosts a Helping Parents Heal affiliate group in Miami for parents who believe their children who have left their bodies are with them in a new and different capacity.

Carla’s mission is to spread Calder’s light from her home base in Florida. She lives there with her husband Chris, her teenage son, Caleb and Brussels Griffon dog, Charlie.
