part 3 of X of my exchange semester and travel experience in europe: gaia and porto, portugal 🇵🇹✨

my braindump:
gaia and porto are a river apart, but i recommend getting a hotel in gaia since it's generally cheaper! i say this for almost every city thus far, but these cities are so colourful and perfect for a city walk. similar to lisbon, porto had music throughout its streets as well, seeing a whole band, though, was a first. makes me wanna move to europe sooo bad... initially, i had no idea a source of inspiration for harry potter would be a bookstore within this city, so unfortunately i couldn't physically enter (reservation-only). someone pls go and get something with me in mind T-T we didn't have a lot of particular spots to hit besides the egg tart place and the chapel of souls (GORGEOUS btw), so while there isn't a lot to refer to for your own trip, hopefully this video gives you an idea of what these cities are like or piques your curiosity and travel spirit!

after confirming my semester abroad starting september, my mom and i headed to paris a month in advance to explore the city, and other countries in europe. if you haven't watched my paris vlog, go see that (it's the prequel to this)!!

this was filmed during august 2024. for those thinking of visiting portugal in late august, be aware that it's HOT and sunny af. i say this over and over but wear sunglasses!!!
