To commemorate the Battle of the Somme beginning on July 1, 1916, I decided to bring a classic arm that participated in the battle, the Gewehr 98. Developed and adopted in 1898, the Gew 98 became the standard German Infantry small arm up until the 1930's. It was also sold to many of Germany's allies to supply their militaries. It is an extremely reliable, accurate, and well made weapon. My example is a pretty common 1916 Spandau manufactured rifle, hope you enjoy the video!
