An Introduction to the Slide Dobro - Volume 1

This tutorial looks at the basic construction and tuning of the Square Neck Slide Dobro focusing on the simplest of the common open tunings ie. the open 'G' tuning.

Pickup, bridge design, inverted resonator, square neck, raised nut, push/pull volume and tone controls, tuning gears, sound vents, steel bar, thumb and finger picks are all analysed and showcased in the tutorial using a Martinez Square Neck Dobro as the demonstration instrument.

Two original acoustic blues featuring the Slide Dobro open and close the tutorial.
