Artful Holidays Day 11: Color Palette Painting Challenge - Creating with a Limited Palette

In this Day 11 challenge, I’m inviting followers to experiment with a limited holiday-inspired color palette to see how far they can stretch their creativity! For this video, I chose one of the color palettes from our Holiday Color Palettes PDF and created two abstract paintings, working within the bounds of the palette’s hues. I started with Art Graft water-soluble pigment cakes and watercolors to establish a base, then layered in stencil work to add texture and depth. Finally, I completed each piece with mark-making, adding unique touches and details. Join me as we explore the impact of color choice, and see what creative possibilities can emerge from working with a focused palette!
