Focus stacking in macro photography - preparing insects

A detailed summary of each step in the process of preparing insects for focus stacking. Topics include sourcing of specimens, preferred killing methods, preservation and storage, best practices for pinning/posing, cleaning, rehydrating, relaxing, and restoring your insects.The techniques are simple and do not require any special equipment, but the results are well worth the effort. This is the first of three videos on the subject of focus stacking for macro photography. Part two will focus on setting up your equipment for the sharpest possible images, and in part three we will go over the steps for editing and stacking your images in both Photoshop CC (2019) and Serene Stacker.
