How to Use Hammond Percussion to Enhance Your Playing

Описание к видео How to Use Hammond Percussion to Enhance Your Playing

Here is a detailed explanation of how Hammond's Touch Response Percussion functions on a typical B3. I go into detail, via actual examples, of how you can decide on a note-by-note basis whether or not any particular key or note will have percussion or not, and also how you can use this to accentuate a melody and allow you to play additional transient or "grace" notes in the background without percussion while your melody has percussion. And you'll also see how to apply it to a left hand countermelody to make it stand out from the normal left hand chords. This will work on any standard Hammond such as a B3, C3, A100, M3, and RT3. With a little practice you can get some really neat musical effects and even make it seem as though you might at times have a third hand, or at least a couple of extra fingers. Pay attention, devote some practice time and you will be a significant step ahead of most of the other Hammond players out there!
