Alexis Missell of the Utah Assistive Technology Program demonstrates LAMP (Language Acquisition through Motor Planning) Words for Life, an augmentative and alternative communication app. One of its main features is semantic compaction, or the use of a multiple-meaning symbols to help the user access a lot of language on a single page and to quickly access related words. It also helps the user by making words available in only one location in the app, so they know exactly where and how to find it.
