At this year's Motek, PROMESS successfully presented its new robot press, which is suitable for use on a robot arm. During the sophisticated development of the new joining module, the mechanical and electrical systems were specially adapted for this application. “With this new development, we are responding to the trend in assembly technology away from line production towards flexible assembly cells,” says Managing Director Florian Köhnen. The unit was equipped with an aluminum housing and, together with the frame, has a total weight of 49 kg. The slotted frame enables parallel bending under nominal load, the deflection is compensated by the control system. The joining module has a nominal load of 25 kN, a stroke of 350 mm and travels at a nominal speed of 200 mm/s. Individual configurations are possible.
