Liverpool has always been a melting pot for immigrants from all over the world, non so much more as the Irish. Liverpool is one of the most famous cities in the world and the many times held the title largest seaport. It was Liverpool that the titanic left before its fateful trip. The City is well renowned, similar in story to New York City, and has developed its own character and people. "Scousers" are the salt of the Earth and would give you the shirt off their back. The song is about the years spent growing up in liverpool and the memory's of the old house with the ever open doors where many an Irish singsong happened, the overhead railway, the Dock Road, New Brighton.
