The importance of telematics alerts:

Alerts can be defined as the triggering of a specific exception based on a set of pre-defined criteria. Alerts are sent out to the customer’s relevant contacts in real time so they can be proactive in addressing incidents as they occur.

What is an Incident Alert?

Autotrak’s tracking hardware is equipped with a built-in accelerometer that has the ability to measure G-Force. An Incident alert when generated, will notify Autotrak’s Customer Response Centre of the potential incident occurrence. Autotrak’s CRC Department will then act and notify the customer (applicable contacts) of the alert.

What is a Roll-over Alert?

Autotrak’s tracking hardware has the functionality to determine if the installed hardware within the vehicle has shifted 45 degrees or more. A Roll-over alert is defined as a sharp sudden shift of 45 degrees or more. A Roll-over alert when triggered will notify Autotrak’s Customer Response Centre of the potential roll-over incident. Autotrak’s CRC Department will then act and notify the customer (applicable contacts) of the alert.
