This was the hypest thing ever back in the day for LoL players

8. That League of Legends was - at the time - the unpopular MOBA.
Heroes of Newerth was dominating the scene at the time as the 'next-gen' MOBA. Later in season 1, LoL started to overtake HoN and eventually became way more popular, largely in part due to amazing marketing and the fact that the game was Free to Play (HoN was like $30 or something)
