I recently created my own PCB for the skidi which can support a "Power Switch" module from Pololu.com for about $5. The PCB should be identical to the original designer's PCB but uses a LiPo battery and can completely shut down the Skidi after a set period of time.. or shut it off from the controller. The ultimateSkidi.zip Arduino code here provides proportional OR non-proportional drive, plus 1 or 2 joystick control by hitting the appropriate buttons. Just read the comments in the code.
