Almost ten years after “Passioni postmoderne di un musicista errante” (Post-modern passions of a wandering musician) released on AMS Records (AMS 274 CD) in 2016, keyboardist and composer Corrado Sardella returns with a new album under the Doracor signature, a project conceived a long time ago starting with a collaboration with Red Canzian - already a guest on “Passioni postmoderne…” - for a Sanremo Festival song that remained unfinished, yet became the first spark of inspiration for this new work.

Eventually, in 2024, the meeting with the singer and composer Lorena Cossu provided further creative input that gave ‘Unexpected Intersections’ a well-defined direction, resulting in the making of the suite that gave the entire album its name: the song describes an existential metaphor that urges us never to forget our playtime zone, so that our inner child can be reunited with the adult part.
