Gloucester Township Police: Careless Cooking Fire Displaces Two Residents At Millbridge Garden Apartments 1341 Blackwood Clementon Rd, Clementon, NJ
On February 05, 2013 at approximately 17:23 hours, officers of the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to the 400 section of the Millbridge Garden Apartments for the report of an apartment fire. Upon the officers arrival they evacuated the upstairs and down stairs apartments along with the adjacent residences.
Gloucester Township Fire Districts Stations 82, 83, 84 arrived on location and began to extinguished the fire. Gloucester Township EMS, Gloucester Township Office of Emergency Management, and the American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist with the incident.
The fire was extinguished and there were no reports of injuries. The Gloucester Township Fire Marshal from Station 82 determined the cause of the fire to be careless cooking.
Two residents were displaced do to fire and water damage to their apartments. One resident was able to be sheltered by Millbridge Gardens Apartment Management. The American Red Cross was able to provide assistance to the other displaced resident.
