Making Viking Age Irish Shoes

Описание к видео Making Viking Age Irish Shoes

We're lucky enough to have well over a dozen finds of early medieval Irish shoes, many of them very well preserved following deposition in peat bogs. As varied as shoes from all over the Viking world can be, there are some distinctly Irish styles that this video will look at just quickly.

I'll also take you through how I made my own pair of early medieval Irish shoes, and pass on a few of the lessons my mistakes taught me!
