1-Goa Assembly Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar has dismissed the disqualification petition filed by Congress leader Girish Chodankar against eight MLAs who had joined the BJP in 2022
Reacting to the order, Girish Chodankar said that this order is a repeat of the order passed by the previous speaker against 10 Congress MLAs.

2- After Bardez and Pernem, the state government has now notified an increase in the minimum land price in Tiswadi, Mormugao, and Salcete talukas

3- In an incident at Calangute, Two taxi drivers have allegedly assaulted a Pune-based family over a parking dispute. The Sheikh family filed a complaint at Calangute police station. After an extensive search, police arrested one taxi driver, while the 2nd taxi driver still absconded.

4- Former PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar has claimed that the Dudhsagar issue would be resolved within the next 24 hours. He said that CM Sawant and Sanvordem MLA Ganesh Gaonkar will resolve the matter.

5- Hindavi Swarajya Sanghatna has submitted a memorandum to Canacona police demanding that vehicles transporting vegetables should be checked at the Polem checkpost. This comes after a vegetable truck was seized for transporting beef into Goa.

6- It’s the festive season and day 2 of Diwali was celebrated across the state with great joy and gaiety. Worship of the goddess of wealth and prosperity Laxmi was performed in all the business establishments and offices. Diwali is considered as one of the most auspicious occasions in the Hindu calendar as it marks the beginning of new financial year for traders and businesses.

7- Pernem pothole problem is a persistent challenge that residents face daily, especially causing significant inconvenience to commuters. Activists, political leaders and locals got together and celebrated ‘Pothole Diwali’ by lighting candles in every pothole at Poraskade.
