EV Caravan Tour of Scotland Pt 4 - Charging on site, Bunree and Fort William

Part 4 of my Tour of Scotland with an EV towing a caravan. With my Kia EV6 I head from my home in the Outer Hebrides to mainland Scotland to see what touring with an EV is like in the real world. As this is my first time, we are taking Baby Steps and making sure we stay well within the range of the EV6 so we don't get stuck. As confidence builds, so will the mileage between campsites.

In this episode we kick off with a look around the stunning Bunree CAMC Site in Onich, about 10 miles to the South of Fort William. It was lovely to meet up with Julia and Chris from the channel @vohnwagenlife.

Highlight of the entire tour was a trip on the Jacobite, otherwise known as the Harry Potter Hogwarts Express, via the Glenfinnan Viaduct to Mallaig and back. Find out more here: https://westcoastrailways.co.uk/jacob...

Next day was a BRILLIANT wildlife cruise with the lovely people at Cruise Loch Linnhe, the highlight of which was seeing the seals up close and personal: https://cruiselochlinnhe.co.uk/

On our 80 mile drive from Bunree to Stirlingshire, we measure the battery before and after to see if my range calculations were correct. I also talk about the policies of the Camping and Caravanning Club, and the Caravan and Motorhome Club regarding EV charging on your campsite pitch.

I then leave the car at Stirling station for a week while I head South on the train, and measure the effect on the battery.

Please note that while viewers from across the world are more than welcome, this video is aimed at a UK audience. The Kia EV6 specifications and units of measurement all apply to the UK spec and are given in UK measurements. I appreciate that some markets prefer the stats to be given in metric units, but there is a lot of YouTube content from across Europe where this is already given, and us Brits have to do the conversions to imperial for ourselves... ;)
