ADDS: music apps, navigation apps, messaging, video, wifi & bluetooth connectivity, USB connectivity, messaging apps, Carplay (optional extra), front and reverse cameras (optional extra).

KEEPS: stock factory settings (climate, audio etc.), period correct user interface for the new apps which looks stock when compared to the original unit.


You will need:
- Jaguar XJ / S-Type / X-Type with a screen and CD player in the dash.
- Standard or Premium (Alpine) audio.
- Pry tool kit highly recommended for removing trim in the car.
- Standard screwdrivers (philips, flathead) with some Torx bits for dismantling the head unit.
- Slight knowledge on how to disassemble and reassemble things.
- Slight knowledge of installing apps and the usual phone / tablet stuff.

You won't need:
- Electrical knowledge.
- Soldering skills or equipment.
