DNA
Deoxyribonucleic acid is a molecule that contains genetic information for growth, development, functioning, and reproduction. DNA is found in most organisms, and is made up of a double-stranded helix.
RNA
Ribonucleic acid is similar in structure to DNA, but is single-stranded. RNA can act as a catalyst and genetic material.
Genetic code
The genetic code is a set of rules that translates genetic information into proteins. A codon is made up of three nucleotides, and each codon codes for a single amino acid.
Chromosomes
Chromosomes are made up of DNA and proteins, and are located in the nucleus of most cells. The number of chromosomes in a cell is fixed, for example, humans have 23 pairs of homologous chromosomes.. If you are Class 12 aspirant, this video is for you.
