Task Boxes and The TEACCH Method for Students w/Autism

Описание к видео Task Boxes and The TEACCH Method for Students w/Autism

This video goes over the TEACCH method and how to effectively incorporate the use of task boxes in your therapy sessions. The TEACCH method is an evidence-based program that was specifically designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and it stands for the Treatment and Education of Autistic and Communication Handicapped Children method. One of the main tenets of the TEACCH method is to incorporate lots of structure in educational environments to help students with Autism learn, and incorporating task boxes into your session is an excellent way to do this! Not only do they add structure, task boxes are a wonderful tool to help your students learn how to transition between tasks, complete adult-led activities, and adhere to a visual schedule. Whether you're a therapist, parent, or teacher, if you haven't heard of the TEACCH method, this video is for you!

This video is designed to provide general information about occupational therapy for caregivers. This video does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment. Please see a medical professional if you have concerns about your child’s development
