Western Sol - The Great American Eclipse [2017]

Darkness and light collide when a meek rancher, being bullied by outlaws, uses the cover of a surprise solar eclipse to try and regain his freedom.

On August 21st, 2017, the moon cast a shadow on the earth, giving us what is known as The Great American Eclipse. On that very day, a small team of filmmakers shot a western. In a single take. And it was broadcast live.

Western Sol was an online event that managed to reach thousands of people during it's broadcast. The 13 minute film explores the dynamics and casual evils of Davey Collins' outlaw gang, and culminates in an epic shootout that was timed with the real-life solar eclipse overhead. To say it's never been done before would be putting it lightly.
